How Light can Give a Home a New Level of Modernity

PELLEGRINI

15 March 2023

Light is a source of energy and life, capable of giving homes a new level of modernity. Light has always drawn our world, defining its contours. In order to provide the best possible lighting, the placing and design of windows is of the utmost importance.

A window that is extremely innovative is the Pellegrini Struttura Luce 45, that will be shown in extreme close-up during Architect@Work in Zurich. This Struttura Luce 45, a product developed and manufactured by the Italian company Falegnameria Pellegrini, is dedicated to those who love light, with minimal and coplanar design. In doing this, it illustrates the high quality level of the producing company, that has been around since 1930, and has always been at the forefront with regard to technology-levels and quality-standards.

Bamboo-wood and aluminium

The Pellegrini Struttura Luce 45 redefines the contours of the minimal window, moving to a new design and construction concept that allows to bring light to the foreground. It is made in bamboo-wood and aluminium, with a further reduced coplanar section compared to the previous Struttura SLIM model, with a 45 mm leaf. It arises from a new design concept, which by making the most of the technological characteristics of the materials used has allowed to raise the status of windows to the highest levels. A new Struttura Luce 45 profile was created to give the customer the feeling of a window that blends with the design of his home. It is able to communicate continually with the outside, thanks to the glass surfaces.

Struttura Luce 45 is a coplanar window both inside and outside, which distinguishes it from all the fake coplanar windows in circulation. The window is made of bamboo-wood in the inner part of the profile and aluminium on the outside. With the same hole size, the glass surface increases in percentage terms, giving more brightness to the rooms than windows with a classic frame and greater performance from an energy point of view. The use of wood and aluminium in the same product is unique, this is a combination you will never find anywhere else in the world.

Extensive testing since 2013

The Pellegrini Lab has conducted research, analyses and tests since 2013, with the aim to use the sustainable, fast-growing and easily recyclable material bamboo. This is done with an eye on the future. The product is also unique because it is the sum of a minimalistic design with the combination of multilamellar bamboo-wood and aluminium, coplanarity between leaf and frame thanks to the concealed hinges, with the nicest application for a hidden frame with plasterboard and an extra-minimal view of the leaf which is flush with the wall.

The product boasts a minimalistic design, with the combination of multilamellar bamboo-wood and aluminium.

The peculiarity of Pellegrini Struttura Luce 45 is given by the quality of the handicraft finish and combo with eventual interior design complement or parquet in bamboo. During the customisation phase of the window, you can not only select the measurements according to the needs of a project, but also the type of finish.
