ARCHITECT@WORK Toronto 2018: a 25 per cent rise in footfall

14 May 2018

The second Annual ARCHITECT@WORK took place in Toronto, Canada on April 11 and 12, 2018 featuring 500 innovative architectural products. The event was deemed by both exhibitors and attendees as a huge success. ARCHITECT@WORK is being recognized as a valuable platform for both the Architecture and Design communities to connect, collaborate and conduct business in a contemporary manner. New product innovations and ideas were key to the over fifty participating exhibitors displaying relevant architectural designs and products. Access to this exclusive event was by invitation and as a result saw key decision makers and senior management in attendance.

This invaluable architectural showcase for the trade promoted an efficient, insightful and valuable opportunity for Architects, Specifiers, Architectural Technologists and Designers to meet and discuss their requirements with well-informed experts behind the exhibits and their products. Furthermore, an impressive list of industry professionals from the Architecture and Design community were on hand to share their knowledge. This included Alison Brooks, one of Britain’s most influential and award-winning architects; Jeff Ranson, Regional Director of Canada’s Green Building Council; Duncan Rowe, notable Canadian speaker regarding recent developments in Building Enclosure Design. As well, there were ongoing enlightening panel discussions that are relevant to today’s Architecture and Design community. Additionally, the international ‘Project Wall’ by world-architects proved to be popular and informative to visitors. The theme of light, color and wellness was creatively interpreted in an art installation by Colour Hive and Mix Magazine.

Archello’s popular “How It’s Made” exhibit once again showcased some of the most unique and innovative materials from around the globe. Project case studies revealed products and technical innovation behind some of the world’s most imaginative architecture. The exhibit was curated by the Archello team with special assistance from material consultant Jim Salazar.

With hundreds of products on display and nearly 2,000 attentive guests, ARCHITECT@WORK proved again to be a resounding success.  Innovative displays – including domestic and international products for both interior and exterior finishes, building systems, lighting and sanitary wares -  were all popular with the trade. Plus, eight motivating seminars attracted business professionals and members from such relevant organizations as IDC, TSA, CSC, ARIDO and RAIC. All exhibitors had previously been requested to submit their products to a learned panel of Architects and Designers prior to approval to participate in the Show.

The third annual ARCHITECT@WORK has just been scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, April 3 and 4, 2019; once again, it will be held at the modern Enercare Centre in the Canadian National

Exhibition grounds in downtown Toronto.

For over fifteen years, ARCHITECT@WORK has established itself worldwide in 15 countries with 26 exhibitions as a leading event for Architects and Designers. The success of the show is based on the fact that it connects principals from leading Architect and Interior Design firms to the most innovative products and active projects. As well, attendees at the Shows have the opportunity to discuss their needs and meet people behind key companies. And, to get answers and resolutions. For exhibitors, it is the easiest and most cost-efficient way to market products to decision-makers in the Architecture and Design community.
