The Building Code Tutor is a web-based instructional program, developed to provide practical, interactive training in the fire and life safety requirements of Part 3 of the Building Codes in force across Canada.
Users can choose to watch a series of short, online, interactive lessons at any time, at the pace that best suits their needs. Each lesson explores a specific aspect of the Building Code and uses modular visual text and audio to help encourage learning. In this special presentation, attendees will be introduced to modules addressing two key safety issues - flame spread ratings and smoke developed classification, how these impact interior finishes, skylights, light diffusers and lenses, plumbing fixtures, walkways and elevator cars.
This seminar is IDCEC approved for one hour (HSW). In addition, the Building Code Tutor program provides documentation, on completion, that can be submitted to obtain structured learning credits. Register to attend this fee-paying seminar through the IDC website.Back to home page
